Sie haben zu wenig Albumin im Blut.
Albumin ist ein Protein, das in der Leber gebildet wird. Es befindet sich im Blut und sorgt für ein Flüssigkeits-Gleichgewicht zwischen den Blutgefäßen und dem umliegenden Gewebe. Außerdem können sich bestimmte Stoffe an Albumin binden. Diese Stoffe können so im Blut befördert werden.
Die Menge an Albumin im Blut kann zum Beispiel bei Entzündungen verringert sein. Auch Erkrankungen der Leber oder der Nieren können dazu führen. Wenn zu wenig Albumin im Blut ist, kann sich Flüssigkeit im umliegenden Gewebe ansammeln.
