ICD-Code G90.79: Complex regional pain syndrome, other and unspecified type, site unspecified
You have a specific pain disorder.
This pain disorder can develop in the affected part of the body after an injury or surgery. The pain cannot be explained by the injury alone. For example, it may be more severe or last longer than usual. The function of certain nerves is also impaired. The reasons behind the pain disorder are still not completely understood.
Typically there is pain in the affected area. Light touches can also feel painful or very intense. The affected area can swell up. The color and temperature of the skin may be different than on the other side. The person may also sweat more or less than usual in the area affected. Nails and hair may grow differently than usual. Eventually, it may not be possible to move the affected part of the body properly.
