Gastric juice has gotten into your lungs. Your lungs have become inflamed as a result.
The lungs are on the left and right side of the ribcage. They are also connected to the nose and mouth via the bronchial tubes and windpipe (trachea).You need lungs to breathe. When we breathe in, oxygen enters the lungs and accumulates in the blood. This blood then flows to the heart. The heart then pumps the oxygen-rich blood throughout the body. All of the organs are supplied with oxygen as a result.
Gastric juice may enter the lungs, for example, while a person is unconscious during surgery following an anesthetic. The gastric juice first passes into the mouth via the oesophagus. From there, the gastric juice enters the windpipe and finally the lungs. The acid in gastric juice can damage the tissue in the lungs. As a result, the lungs may become inflamed. With an inflammation in the lungs, you may have various symptoms. These include coughing and shortness of breath, for example.
