ICD-Code M14.13: Crystal arthropathy in other metabolic disorders Forearm
Crystals have been deposited in your wrist.
At the wrist, the forearm bones, the ulna and radius, articulate with several bones of the hand. The ulna and radius are each connected to the hand via their own joint. There is also another joint between the ends of the ulna and the radius.
You have a disorder that involves a change to your metabolism. The content of certain substances in your blood may change as a result. These substances may be deposited as crystals in the joint.
If crystals are deposited in the joint, the joint affected may become inflamed. The joint may be painful. The skin around the joint may be red and swollen.
