At the wrist, the forearm bones, the ulna and radius, articulate with several bones of the hand. The ulna and radius are each connected to the hand via their own joint. There is also another joint between the ends of the ulna and the radius.The joint between the ends of your ulna and your radius may also be less stable than normal.
Joints are held together by ligaments and a tight capsule made up of connective tissue. The muscles around the joint and the bones involved in the joint are important for the joint’s stability.
Joints may be less stable if they are overextended. The capsule or the ligaments in the joint can get damaged when this happens. Disorders or injuries can also make joints less stable. When the affected joints are subjected to loads, they can feel unsteady. Your grip may then be less firm than usual.
