Die Schleimhaut Ihrer Scheide ist verändert.
Die Scheide ist schlauchförmig und führt von außen zur Gebärmutter. Die Scheide wird innen von einer Schleimhaut ausgekleidet.
Das Gewebe im Körper besteht aus Zellen. Um die Zellen in der Schleimhaut zu untersuchen, entnimmt man eine Gewebeprobe. Die Zellen von Ihrer Scheiden-Schleimhaut sind verändert. Diese Art von Schleimhaut-Veränderung kann zum Beispiel durch bestimmte Viren entstehen.
Solche Veränderungen in der Schleimhaut machen in der Regel keine Beschwerden. Es kann aber sein, dass sich die Zellen bei dieser Art der Veränderung mit der Zeit noch stärker verändern und unkontrolliert vermehren. So kann eine Krebserkrankung entstehen.
