In Ihrer Scheide staut sich das Menstruationsblut zurück.
Die Scheide ist schlauchförmig und führt von außen zur Gebärmutter. Während des normalen monatlichen Zyklus wird die Schleimhaut in der Gebärmutter zunächst immer dicker. Dann wird sie im Rahmen der Regelblutung abgestoßen. Dafür sind verschiedene Geschlechtshormone zuständig.
Das Menstruationsblut kann normalerweise ungehindert durch die Scheide abfließen. Wenn die Öffnung der Scheide teilweise oder vollständig verschlossen ist, dann kann sich das Blut in der Scheide zurückstauen.
