Von einer Fehlgeburt spricht man, wenn ein oder mehrere Kinder vorzeitig aus der Gebärmutter ausgeschieden werden. Es kann aus verschiedenen Gründen zu einer Fehlgeburt kommen. Es kann sein, dass Kinder sich nicht richtig weiterentwickeln und in der Gebärmutter versterben. Es kann auch sein, dass andere Gründe zur Fehlgeburt führen und Kinder unmittelbar danach versterben.
