Das Schlüsselbein ist ein Knochen vorn am Brustkorb. Es verläuft vom Brustbein zur Schulter und ist oben an der Schulter mit dem Schulterblatt verbunden. Es gibt auf jeder Seite des Brustkorbs ein Schlüsselbein.
Bei der Geburt durch die Scheide wirkt ein großer Druck auf das Kind. Dieser Druck ist notwendig, damit das Kind durch das Becken und die Scheide geboren werden kann. Durch den Druck in Verbindung mit dem engen Geburtsweg kann es passieren, dass ein Knochen während der Geburt beim Kind bricht. Wenn das Kind sehr groß ist, können Schwierigkeiten beim Durchtritt durch den Geburtskanal auftreten. Dann können bestimmte Handgriffe notwendig sein, um dem Kind bei der Geburt zu helfen. Dabei kann es auch dazu kommen, dass ein Knochen bricht.
Wenn ein Knochen beim Kind gebrochen ist, können Probleme bei der Bewegung entstehen. Es kann auch sein, dass eine Schwellung und Schmerzen bestehen.
