Durch den Druck in Verbindung mit dem engen Geburtsweg können beim Kind Verletzungen bei einer Geburt durch die Scheide entstehen. Verletzungen können auch entstehen, wenn Hilfsmittel wie eine Geburtszange oder Saugglocke zum Einsatz kommen. Auch bei einem Kaiserschnitt kann das Kind verletzt werden.
