Es besteht eine Erkrankung der kindlichen Lunge oder der kindlichen Atemwege.
Wenn man atmet, dann gelangt die Luft über die Atemwege in den Körper. Die Atemwege unterteilen sich in die oberen Atemwege und die unteren Atemwege. Zu den oberen Atemwegen gehören die Nase und der Rachen. Am Kehlkopf im Hals beginnen die unteren Atemwege. Dazu gehören die Luftröhre und die Bronchien.
Man braucht die Lunge, um zu atmen. Beim Einatmen gelangt Sauerstoff in die Lunge und reichert sich dort im Blut an. Dieses Blut fließt dann zum Herzen. Das Herz pumpt das sauerstoffreiche Blut dann in den Körper. Dadurch werden alle Organe mit Sauerstoff versorgt. Die Ursache der Erkrankung liegt in der Zeit um die Geburt.
