In der Zeit nach der Geburt hat es aus dem kindlichen Nabel geblutet.
Die Nabelschnur verbindet während der Schwangerschaft den kindlichen und den mütterlichen Blut-Kreislauf. Über die Blutgefäße in der Nabelschnur wird das Kind mit Nährstoffen und Sauerstoff versorgt. Nach der Geburt wird die Nabelschnur abgeklemmt und durchtrennt. Ein Reststück der Nabelschnur bleibt am Kind, trocknet normalerweise aus und fällt nach einiger Zeit ab. Der Bauchnabel bleibt übrig an der Stelle, an der vorher die Nabelschnur war.
Es gibt verschiedene Ursachen für eine Blutung aus dem kindlichen Nabel. Es kann zum Beispiel zu einer Blutung aus dem Nabel kommen, wenn sich die Klemme oder die Naht am Nabelschnurrest löst.
