ICD-Code P76.8: Sonstiger näher bezeichneter Darmverschluss beim Neugeborenen
In der Zeit kurz nach der Geburt bestand ein Darmverschluss.
Der Darm besteht aus dem Dünndarm und dem Dickdarm. Im Dünndarm werden die meisten Nährstoffe aufgenommen. Im Dickdarm werden dem Stuhl Wasser und Mineralstoffe entzogen. Der letzte Abschnitt vom Dickdarm ist der Enddarm. Der Stuhl wird dann über den After ausgeschieden. Der Darm ist wie ein Schlauch. Innen gibt es einen Hohlraum. Um diesen Hohlraum herum liegt die Darmwand.
Von einem Darmverschluss spricht man, wenn der Transport des Darminhalts gestört ist. Das kann passieren, wenn der Darm durch ein Hindernis von außen oder innen verengt wird oder wenn die Darmbewegung eingeschränkt ist.
