In der Zeit kurz nach der Geburt ist eine Bewusstlosigkeit aufgetreten.
Wenn das Neugeborene bewusstlos ist, reagiert es nicht wie gewöhnlich auf äußere Reize. Das Neugeborene öffnet dann zum Beispiel nicht die Augen, wenn man versucht es zu wecken. Bei einer solchen Bewusstlosigkeit spricht man auch von einem Koma.
Für eine Bewusstlosigkeit bei einem Neugeborenen kann es verschiedene Ursachen geben. Beispielsweise kann eine Blutung am Gehirn oder eine Erkrankung des Gehirns ursächlich sein. Auch Probleme mit der Sauerstoff-Versorgung können dazu führen, dass das Neugeborene bewusstlos wird. Angeborene Erkrankungen des Stoffwechsels können ebenfalls Ursachen sein.
