Ihre Lungenschlagader hat sich vor der Geburt nicht richtig entwickelt.
Aus dem Herzen kommen große, wichtige Blutgefäße. Die Hauptschlagader aus der linken Herzkammer versorgt den ganzen Körper mit sauerstoffreichem Blut. Über die Lungenschlagader aus der rechten Herzkammer gelangt sauerstoffarmes Blut in die Lunge. In der Lunge wird das Blut dann mit Sauerstoff angereichert.
Wenn sich die Lungenschlagader nicht richtig entwickelt hat, dann kann diese Schlagader zum Beispiel weiter oder enger sein als normalerweise. Es kann auch sein, dass die Wand der Schlagader sehr dünn oder schwach ist. Möglicherweise verläuft die Schlagader auch auf einem anderen Weg als normalerweise.
Wenn sich die die Lungenschlagader nicht richtig entwickelt hat, dann können das Herz oder die Lunge stärker belastet werden als normalerweise. Man ist dann möglicherweise weniger leistungsfähig oder man bekommt bei Anstrengungen schnell Luftnot.
