Der Darm besteht aus dem Dünndarm und dem Dickdarm. Im Dünndarm werden die meisten Nährstoffe aufgenommen. Im Dickdarm werden dem Stuhl Wasser und Mineralstoffe entzogen. Der letzte Abschnitt vom Dickdarm ist der Enddarm. Der Stuhl wird dann über den After ausgeschieden.
Möglicherweise ist Ihr Dickdarm größer oder arbeitet weniger als normalerweise. Man kann dann möglicherweise Verstopfungen und Bauchschmerzen haben.
