Aufgrund einer Fehlbildung hat sich an einem Eileiter oder an beiden Eileitern ein Hohlraum gebildet.
Wenn Gewebe sich nicht richtig entwickeln, kann es zu Fehlbildungen kommen. Die Fehlbildung entsteht bereits während der Entwicklung im Mutterleib.
Die beiden Eileiter führen jeweils links und rechts von den Eierstöcken in Richtung Gebärmutter. Sie sind wie Schläuche und befördern die Eizellen von den Eierstöcken in die Gebärmutter.
Ein Hohlraum im Eileiter ist meistens mit Flüssigkeit gefüllt. Der Hohlraum kann Schmerzen verursachen. Wenn der Hohlraum sehr groß ist, kann es vorkommen dass der Eierstock sich verdreht. Dadurch kann man von einem Moment auf den anderen sehr starke Bauchschmerzen bekommen.
