Aufgrund einer Fehlbildung ist die Scheide durch ein Häutchen vollständig verschlossen.
Während der Entwicklung im Mutterleib entstehen im Körper viele verschiedene Arten von Gewebe. Aus den verschiedenen Arten von Gewebe entwickeln sich die Organe und Körperteile.
Die Scheide ist schlauchförmig und führt von außen zur Gebärmutter. Im Inneren der Scheide liegt ein Häutchen. Das Häutchen kann eine Falte bilden, die die Scheide teilweise verschließt. Normalerweise ist das Häutchen an einer Stelle durchlässig.
Durch eine vollständig verschlossene Scheide kann sich bereits im Säuglingsalter Schleim in der Scheide ansammeln. Wenn die Scheide verschlossen ist, kann auch die Regelblutung nicht abfließen. Das angesammelte Blut kann zu Schmerzen im Unterleib führen.
