Sie haben eine angeborene Haut-Erkrankung, bei der die Haut-Zellen nicht richtig verhornen.
Die oberste Schicht der Haut besteht aus Haut-Zellen, die verhornt sind. Diese Haut-Zellen liegen zunächst in einer der unteren Haut-Schichten. Wenn die Haut-Zellen nach oben in Richtung Haut-Oberfläche wandern, dann verhornen sie und bilden so eine feste Schicht.
Die Erbinformation in Ihren Zellen ist verändert. Dadurch ist die Verhornung Ihrer Haut gestört.
Es kann zum Beispiel sein, dass die Haut Schuppen, Blasen oder harte Stellen bildet. Es ist auch möglich, dass die Haut stark gerötet ist oder sich leichter entzündet als normalerweise. Man kann auch verschiedene andere Beschwerden haben.
Diese Erkrankung kann erblich sein. Es können auch andere Familienmitglieder betroffen sein.
