Es gibt verschiedene Untersuchungen. Die Untersuchung hängt davon ab, welche Gewebe man genauer beurteilen möchte. Bei einer Röntgen-Untersuchung oder einer CT-Untersuchung kann man zum Beispiel besonders gut Knochen erkennen. Es können auch Bilder mit Ultraschall gemacht werden. Dadurch lassen sich zum Beispiel die inneren Organe wie Herz oder Leber gut beurteilen.
Wenn eine Veränderung festgestellt wird, dann muss man nicht unbedingt Beschwerden haben.
