Der Hirnstamm ist für verschiedene unbewusste Aufgaben zuständig, wie zum Beispiel das Atmen. Der Hirnstamm geht in das Rückenmark über. Das Gehirn wird von Schädelknochen umgeben und geschützt.
Sie haben sich am Kopf verletzt. Dabei kann das Gehirn geschädigt werden. Wenn man zum Beispiel stark auf den Kopf stürzt, dann kann das Gehirn an die Schädelwand prallen.
