Im Hals verlaufen mehrere Blutgefäße. Es gibt Blutgefäße für den Hals, die Wirbelsäule mit dem Rückenmark und den Kopf.
Venen sind Blutgefäße, die das Blut zurück zum Herzen befördern. Die beiden Hals-Venen rechts und links im Hals sammeln Blut vom Gesicht und vom Gehirn. Unter dem Ohr vereinigt sich die äußere Hals-Vene vom Gesicht mit der inneren Hals-Vene aus dem Gehirn. Sie haben sich die innere Hals-Vene verletzt.
Wenn ein Blutgefäß verletzt ist, dann blutet es meistens. Bei einer stärkeren Blutung kann sich im Gewebe Blut ansammeln. Man kann dann Schmerzen haben. Bei einer Blutung unter der Haut bildet sich manchmal ein blauer Fleck.
