Die Luftröhre beginnt unter dem Kehlkopf. Sie besteht aus vielen Knorpelringen, die die Luftröhre festigen. Die Luftröhre teilt sich in der Mitte der Brust in 2 große Atemwege auf. Die Atemwege verlaufen dann in die Lunge und verzweigen sich dort weiter.
Wenn die Luftröhre verletzt ist, dann kann man Schmerzen oder Atemnot haben.
