Bei einer Erfrierung ist Gewebe durch Kälte geschädigt. Je nachdem wie stark das Gewebe geschädigt wurde, unterscheidet man zwischen oberflächlichen und tiefen Erfrierungen. Sie haben tiefe Erfrierungen am Bauch, am Rücken, am Becken oder am Gesäß.
Bei einer tiefen Erfrierung ist durch die Kälte Gewebe abgestorben. Es können sich Blasen bilden, die mit Blut gefüllt sind. Wenn durch die Erfrierung Nerven geschädigt sind, spürt man möglicherweise keine Schmerzen mehr.
