You have methanol poisoning.
A substance can cause poisoning if, for example, too much of it is taken. The substance may also be administered or taken by mistake.
There are many different alcohols. These have different properties and are toxic in certain amounts. Methanol is found in products including cleaning agents. Methanol can sometimes also be found in beverages containing alcohol if the beverage was not produced as it usual is.
If you have too much methanol in your body you may have different symptoms. It depends on how much of the substance is in the body and how long it has been there. You may be seriously ill. For example, you may feel nauseated or vomit. You may also have trouble speaking. Or you may move differently than normal. This includes not being able to walk normally, for example. Sometimes you can no longer see properly.
