Wenn man zu wenig trinkt, können die Haut und die Schleimhäute trocken werden. Eine Schleimhaut ist eine dünne und feuchte Haut. Beispielsweise ist der Mund von Schleimhaut ausgekleidet. Wenn man zu wenig, trinkt kann außerdem das Herz schneller schlagen und der Blutdruck niedriger sein als gewöhnlich. Zudem bildet sich weniger Urin und man bekommt Durst. In extremen Fällen kann man auch verdursten.
