Dazu gehört zum Beispiel, wie lange man Kontakt zu den Erregern hatte oder wie vielen Erregern man ausgesetzt war. Es kommt auch darauf an, wie gut das eigene Abwehrsystem arbeitet.
Tollwut wird durch bestimmte Viren verursacht. Wenn man an Tollwut erkrankt, dann kann man zum Beispiel Krämpfe haben oder aggressiv werden. Die Erkrankung kann auch dazu führen, dass man die Muskeln nicht mehr richtig bewegen kann.
Man kann gegen die Erkrankung geimpft werden. Dadurch soll verhindert werden, dass die Erreger Beschwerden verursachen. Wenn man gegen die Tollwut nicht rechtzeitig geimpft wird, dann ist die Tollwut eine schwere und meistens unheilbare Erkrankung.
