Sie haben ein künstliches Rohr in der Luftröhre.
Die Luftröhre beginnt unter dem Kehlkopf. Sie besteht aus vielen Knorpelringen, die die Luftröhre festigen. Die Luftröhre teilt sich in der Mitte der Brust in 2 große Atemwege auf. Die Atemwege verlaufen dann in die Lunge und verzweigen sich dort weiter.
Manchmal ist die Luftröhre enger als normal. Der Grund dafür können zum Beispiel andere Erkrankungen oder angeborene Veränderungen sein. Bei Ihnen hat man deshalb ein Rohr in die Luftröhre eingesetzt. Das Rohr soll Ihre Luftröhre offen halten. So ein Rohr kann zum Beispiel aus Metall oder Kunststoff bestehen.
