OPS-Code 5-010.3:
Incision (trepanation), excision and destruction on the skull, brain and meninges: Opening the skull via the calvarium: Stereotactically guided
In order to operate on the inside of your skull, we have cut through your cranial bones.
The skull surrounds the brain. It consists of a number of individual bones that are tightly attached to each other.
Sectional images of your head were produced before the operation. A computer was then used to ensure that your cranial bones were cut through in exactly the right place.
Note
Your doctor will assist you with any health-related questions and explain the OPS code to you in a direct consultation if necessary.
