A pacemaker usually consists of a small device with a battery. The pacemaker can emit electrical impulses.The electrical impulses of the brain pacemaker are meant to favorably influence the activity on the surface of the brain.

A brain pacemaker is usually implanted under the skin. There are also devices that are worn outside the body.
