The nasal root or base of the nose is located between the two eyes. The ridge running between the nasal root and the tip of the nose is known as the nasal bridge.
During surgery, tissue from another part of the body can be used to reconstruct the nasal bridge. This tissue may be taken from the face or from another site further away on the body.
