The frontal bone is the skull bone in the area of the forehead. The frontal sinus is located inside the frontal bone. The frontal sinus is part of the paranasal sinuses.The paranasal sinuses are air-filled cavities in the skull. They are each connected to the nasal cavity via an opening that forms the inside of the nose. The paranasal sinuses are lined internally with mucous membrane. There are four different paranasal sinuses.
The operation involved treating bone defects in the area of your frontal bone. If possible, the original bone is restored. For this purpose, for example, individual pieces of bone are put back together with plates or wires. Bone material from another part of the body or artificial material can also be used.
