Bei Ihnen wurde am Kehlkopf erkranktes Gewebe mithilfe von Strom zerstört.
Der Kehlkopf ist wichtig für die Atmung und für das Sprechen. Er besteht vor allem aus Knorpel, Bändern und Muskeln. Auch die Stimmbänder liegen im Kehlkopf. Den Kehlkopf kann man besonders gut bei Männern vorne am Hals als vorgewölbte Stelle sehen. Diese Stelle heißt auch Adamsapfel.
