OPS-Code 5-39a.1:
Other operations on blood vessels and additional information about operations on blood vessels: Additional information on blood vessel operations: Temporary atraumatic vascular occlusion with viscous polymer with reverse phase
You have had a blood vessel temporarily surgically sealed off.
Blood vessels transport the blood from the heart to the different tissues and organs in the body, and back again. In so doing, they provide the tissue and organs with oxygen and nutrients, and remove waste substances.
To seal off the blood vessel, a special viscous substance was introduced into the blood vessel. When a blood vessel is sealed during an operation, the operation can be better targeted there.
Additional indicator
If necessary, additional letters are appended to OPS codes to indicate which side of the body is affected.
- L: Left
