OPS-Code 5-610.1:

Operations on scrotum and tunica vaginalis testis: Incision of scrotum and tunica vaginalis testis: Drainage

An incision was made in your scrotum or the thin membrane covering your testicles and epididymides and a tube was inserted.

The testicles are located outside the body, and are covered by skin. That is the scrotum. The epididymides, as well as the testicles, are located inside the scrotum. Two layers of a thin membrane lie directly on the testicles and the epididymides.

This tube can be used, for example, to drain or suction fluid into a container. A tube like this is also called a drain.
