OPS-Code 5-681.13:
Incision, excision and extirpation of the uterus: Excision and destruction of diseased tissue from the uterus: Excision of a congenital septum: Hysteroscopic, sonography-assisted
A separating wall was surgically removed from your uterus.
The uterus or womb sits in the pelvis and is pear-shaped. The narrower part extends downward into the vagina and is called the cervix. When a woman is pregnant, the child grows in her uterus. Some women have a separating wall in their uterus. This is a congenital defect of the uterus.
You had a hysteroscopy. A hysteroscopy involves a thin scope being inserted into the uterus through the vagina and cervix. A camera is attached to the end of the tube. This camera sends images to a screen. Instruments such as forceps or scissors can also be passed through to perform procedures. The progress of the operation was monitored using ultrasound.
