OPS-Code 5-681.7:

Incision, excision and extirpation of the uterus: Excision and destruction of diseased tissue from the uterus: Doppler-guided transvaginal temporary uterine artery occlusion

Arteries in your uterus were temporarily sealed.

The uterus or womb sits in the pelvis and is pear-shaped. The narrower part extends downward into the vagina and is called the cervix. When a woman is pregnant, the child grows in her uterus.

Arteries are blood vessels that transport blood away from the heart. They supply all the tissue in the body with oxygen-rich blood.

To identify the arteries, your uterus was examined from the inside using ultrasound. For this purpose, an ultrasound probe was inserted into the uterus through the vagina and cervix. The arteries were then temporarily sealed so that no blood could flow through them for a short time.
