OPS-Code 5-759.4:
Other birth-assisting operations: Other birth-assisting operations: Vacuum-induced uterine compression
Bleeding in your uterus was stopped.
The uterus or womb sits in the pelvis and is pear-shaped. The narrower part extends downward into the vagina and is called the cervix. When a woman is pregnant, the child grows in her uterus.
Slight negative pressure was generated in your uterus to stop the bleeding. This was done by inserting a plastic tube into your uterus from the outside. The plastic tube was used to suction the air out of your uterus to create slight negative pressure. The negative pressure is intended to draw the walls of the uterus together. This should stop the bleeding from the walls of the uterus.
