OPS-Code 5-784.61:
Operations on other bones: Bone transplantation and transposition: Cartilage-bone transplantation, allogeneic: Proximal humerus
You had an operation to place bone material and cartilage in your humerus.
There are different parts to the humerus. The top end is connected to the shoulder blade in the shoulder joint. In the middle of the humerus there is a long, straight section. The lower end is connected to the forearm in the elbow joint. The bones in a joint are covered with cartilage. When the joint is moved, the cartilage prevents the bones from rubbing against one another. The cartilage is normally strong and elastic, with a smooth surface.
The bone material was placed at the upper end of the humerus. The bone material and cartilage for your humerus came from another person.
