There are 2 bones in the forearm, the ulna and the radius. The ulna is on the side where your little finger is. The radius is on the same side as your thumb. Both bones in the forearm have an upper, middle and lower section.The ulna and the radius both have a long, straight section in the middle.
The bone material was placed in the middle section of the radius. The bone material for your radius was taken from another part of your body beforehand.
Blood vessels supply the bones with oxygen and nutrients, among other things. A special technique was used for your operation. The bone material remained connected with its original site by means of a blood vessel and pedicle (tissue bridge). This blood vessel was not severed. As a result, the supply of blood to the bone material was not interrupted. This should help the bone material to fuse.
