The bone material was placed in the lower section of the femur. The bone material for femur was taken from another part of your body beforehand.
Blood vessels supply the bones with oxygen and nutrients, among other things. A special technique was used for your operation. The bone material remained connected with its original site by means of a blood vessel and pedicle (tissue bridge). This blood vessel was not severed. As a result, the supply of blood to the bone material was not interrupted. This should help the bone material to fuse.
