Both bones in the lower leg have an upper, middle and lower section.The top end of the tibia is connected to the femur by the knee joint. The top ends of the tibia and fibula are also connected by a joint just below the knee joint.
The bone material was placed at the upper end of the fibula. The bone material was treated using a special technique in the lab before it was placed in your fibula.
