OPS-Code 5-784.cc:

Operations on other bones: Bone transplantation and transposition: Transplantation of spongiosa, autogenous, endoscopic: Phalanges of the hand

You had an operation to place bone material in the phalanges of the hand (finger bones).

The hand is made up of a lot of small bones and joints. The hand can be divided into 3 sections. The wrist (carpus) is directly connected to the forearm. Then comes the metacarpus and then the individual fingers. The thumb consists of 2 finger bones. The other fingers consist of 3 finger bones.

The bone material was inserted within the scope of an endoscopy. An endoscopy starts with a small incision being made in the skin. A thin tube or hose is advanced through this incision. There is a camera at the top of the tube or scope. The camera transmits images of the inside of the body to a screen. Instruments such as forceps or scissors can be inserted through other small incisions.

The bone material for your finger bones was taken from another part of your body beforehand.
