OPS-Code 5-791.4x:

Repositioning of fracture and luxation: Open repositioning of a simple fracture in the shaft area of a long bone: By dynamic compression screw: Other

One or more of the bones in your arm or leg were broken and were surgically stabilized using devices.

The arms and legs each consist of various long bones. These long bones can be divided into different sections. The bones have a long, straight section in the middle. At their ends, the long bones are joined to other bones by joints.

You had an operation to return the parts of the affected bones to their normal position and put them back together. The fracture site was then stabilized using a special screw.

The special screw joins the various parts of the bone together. The screw ensures that the bone fragments are pressed together in a particular way.
