OPS-Code 5-870.20:
Excision and resection of the mamma: Partial (breast-conserving) excision of the mamma and destruction of mamma tissue: Ductectomy: Direct adaptation of adjacent wound surfaces or without adaptation
A mammary gland duct in your breast has been removed.
The breast is made up of fatty tissue, connective tissue and the mammary gland. Milk is produced in the mammary gland during and after pregnancy so that the child can be fed. There are multiple ducts in the breast. The ducts serve to transport milk from the mammary gland to the nipple.
You had surgery to remove one of these ducts. A dye is first delivered through the nipple to mark the relevant duct. An incision is then made next to the nipple to remove the duct.
