Die Gebärmutter liegt im Becken und ist wie eine Birne geformt. Der schmalere Teil ragt nach unten in die Scheide hinein und heißt Gebärmutter-Hals. In der Gebärmutter entwickelt sich bei einer schwangeren Frau das Kind. Mit einer Nadel kann man zum Beispiel angesammelte Flüssigkeit ablassen.
