Eine oder mehrere Venen in Ihrem Bein sind krankhaft erweitert.
Venen sind Blutgefäße, die das Blut zurück zum Herzen befördern. Man unterscheidet oberflächliche Venen unter der Haut und tiefer gelegene Venen im Körper-Gewebe.
Während einer Schwangerschaft können Hormone dafür sorgen, dass die Venen dehnbarer sind. Dadurch fließt das Blut durch die Venen langsamer als normalerweise. Durch einen verlangsamten Blutfluss kann sich das Blut in den Venen stauen. Dies kann man von außen in Form von Krampfadern sehen. Krampfadern an den Beinen können dazu führen, dass sich die Beine schwer anfühlen und anschwellen.
