ICD-Code P02.4: Schädigung des Fetus und Neugeborenen durch Nabelschnurvorfall
Während der Geburt ist ein gesundheitlicher Schaden durch einen Nabelschnur-Vorfall entstanden.
Die Nabelschnur verbindet während der Schwangerschaft den kindlichen und den mütterlichen Blut-Kreislauf. Über die Blutgefäße in der Nabelschnur wird das Kind mit Nährstoffen und Sauerstoff versorgt.
Bei einem Nabelschnur-Vorfall liegt ein Teil der Nabelschnur unterhalb des Kindes im mütterlichen Becken. Wenn das Kind während des Geburts-Vorgangs weiter nach unten geschoben wird, dann kann es die Nabelschnur einklemmen. Die Nabelschnur kann dabei zwischen Kind und Becken eingeklemmt werden. Es kann dadurch sein, dass das Kind schlechter mit Sauerstoff versorgt wird. Das kann für das Kind lebensbedrohlich sein.
