Es wurde ein vorübergehend zu hoher Tyrosin-Gehalt im kindlichen Blut gemessen.

Tyrosin ist eine Aminosäure. Der Körper benötigt Aminosäuren, um daraus Proteine herzustellen. Im Körper sorgen bestimmte Proteine dafür, dass Vorgänge besser oder schneller ablaufen. Man nennt diese Proteine auch Enzyme.

Für einen vorübergehend zu hohen Tyrosin-Gehalt ist ein bestimmtes Enzym verantwortlich. Dieses Enzym arbeitet bei Neugeborenen und insbesondere bei Frühgeborenen noch nicht richtig. Dann kann vorhandenes Tyrosin nicht richtig abgebaut werden und sammelt sich an.

Wenn der Tyrosin-Gehalt im kindlichen Blut zu hoch ist, können verschiedene Anzeichen auftreten. Es kann sein, dass das Kind etwas träger ist als gewöhnlich. Möglicherweise besteht eine Trinkschwäche. Es ist aber auch möglich, dass keine äußerlichen Anzeichen bestehen.
