Nerven leiten Informationen aus dem Körper zum Rückenmark. Diese Informationen werden durch Reize wie Berührung oder Licht ausgelöst. Im Rückenmark werden diese Informationen ausgewertet. Das Ergebnis dieser Auswertung wird über andere Nerven zurück in den Körper geleitet. Dort erfolgt dann eine entsprechende Antwort. Eine solche Antwort kann zum Beispiel die Bewegung eines Muskels sein. Dieser ganze Ablauf erfolgt unabhängig vom Willen. Man spricht von einem Reflex.
Es kann zum Beispiel sein, dass bestimmte Reflexe bei Ihnen stärker oder schwächer als normalerweise sind. Möglicherweise sind bestimmte Reflexe auch gar nicht vorhanden. Dafür kann es viele verschiedene Ursachen geben.
